[월드투데이 김나혜 기자] 니카라과의 오르테가 대통령이 5번째 임기를 시작한 가운데, 이에 대한 국제사회 및 국민들로부터의 반발이 존재한다.
With President Ortega of Nicaragua starting his fifth term, there is a backlash from the international community and Nicaragua people.

다니엘 오르테가 니카라과 대통령은 지난 10일(현지 시간) 5번째 임기를 시작했다. 지난해 11월 대선에서 당선되며 대통령을 4연임하게 된 것이다.
Nicaragua President Daniel Ortega began his fifth term on January 10. Having been elected in the presidential election in November last year, he serves four consecutive terms as president.

오르테가 대통령과 함께 부통령이자 오르테가의 아내인 로사리오 무리요도 두 번째 임기를 시작했다. 
Along with President Ortega, Rosario Murillo, vice president and Ortega's wife, also began her second term.

이러한 오르테가 정권의 재집권은 니카라과 국내외의 논란이 된 바 있다. 오르테가 정권은 지난해 대선에서 야권 유력 인사 등 경쟁자들을 수감하는 등으로 제거한 뒤 선거를 치른 바 있다.
The reelection of the Ortega regime has been controversial at home and abroad in Nicaragua. The Ortega regime held an predential election in last year after removing competitors, including leading opposition parties, by imprisoning them.

이에 국제사회는 선거가 엉터리라며, 그 결과를 인정하지 않겠다고 선을 그었다. 지난 10일 취임식에 참석한 외국 대표단의 수는 적었다.
In response, the international community drew a line that they would not acknowledge the results, saying the election is a sham. The number of foreign delegations attending the inauguration ceremony on January 10 was small.

미국과 EU는 대통령 취임에 맞춰 제재 조치를 발표하기도 했다. 니카라과 정권의 인사들이 제재 명단에 포함되었고, 일부 인사들에 대해 여행 제한 조치도 내려졌다.
The U.S. and EU also announced sanctions in time for the president's inauguration. Officials from the Nicaraguan regime were included in the sanctions list, and travel restrictions were imposed on some of them.

니카라과 국민들 역시도 대통령의 연임에 반대하는 목소리를 내고 있다. 코스타리카로 망명한 니카라과 사람들도 니카라과 대사관 앞에서 연임 반대 시위를 벌였다.
Nicaraguan people are also voicing opposition to the President's second term. Nicaragua people who exiled in Costa Rica also protested against it in front of the Nicaraguan embassy in Costa Rica.
