The increase in the disappearance of children, adolescents and women since the novel coronavirus may be related to domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
CED cited 'organized crime' as a key factor in enforced disappearance in Mexico. It was also pointed out that public officials were aiding or involved in this.
